Institute of Cognitive Modeling
A multilingual portfolio website for the Institute of Cognitive Modeling, presenting research, strategic communications, psychological support and public-interest initiatives.

Overview
The Institute of Cognitive Modeling is a Ukrainian organization working across social technologies, analytics, sociology, strategic communications, digital initiatives and the psychology of mass communications. Its public portfolio includes institutional communications, information campaigns, educational communities and psychological-support projects.
DigitalTouch delivered the Institute’s public website and portfolio experience. The platform was designed to give a multidisciplinary organization a coherent digital identity while allowing very different public projects to be documented in a consistent and credible format.
Making a multidisciplinary organization understandable
The Institute’s work does not fit neatly into one conventional service category. A prospective partner may encounter research, communications strategy, digital channels, social initiatives, production or psychological support within the same organization.
The website therefore needed to establish a clear top-level proposition before asking visitors to explore individual cases. Its information architecture connects areas of expertise with practical examples, helping users understand both what the Institute does and how that expertise appears in real projects.
The experience supports several common journeys:
- learning about the Institute’s positioning and capabilities;
- reviewing partnerships and public-sector experience;
- exploring detailed cases and documented outcomes;
- understanding the range of social-impact initiatives;
- contacting the team about potential cooperation.
This structure prevents the portfolio from becoming a disconnected archive of logos and campaign titles.
Case studies as the primary evidence
For a research and strategic communications organization, credibility comes from demonstrated work. The portfolio needed to show more than a client name: each public case required enough context to explain the challenge, activity, channels and documented reach or outcome.
Reusable case-study layouts allow the Institute to combine narrative, images, milestones, audience figures and project stages without inventing a new page structure every time. Visitors can quickly scan a project and then move into more detailed evidence when it is relevant to their interests.
The public portfolio spans initiatives such as government communications, information resources, anti-disinformation work, education and online psychological support. The website provides the common presentation system; responsibility for the strategy and delivery of each listed initiative remains with the Institute and its named partners.
Communicating sensitive public-interest work
Many of the Institute’s projects involve subjects where clarity and responsibility matter: public health, war, displacement, domestic violence, psychological support and government communications.
The interface needed to create room for evidence without turning serious cases into promotional spectacle. Strong hierarchy, restrained visual treatment and clear attribution help visitors distinguish project facts, partner roles and reported outcomes.
This is especially important when a page includes large reach figures or social-impact results. Numbers gain meaning only when they are connected to a defined project, period and source rather than presented as decoration.
Psychological support and human-centered content
Projects such as the “Tell Me” online psychological-support platform required a different tone from a conventional communications campaign. People looking for help need straightforward information, visible next steps and reassurance around privacy and professional support.
Within the Institute’s broader portfolio, these cases demonstrate how strategic communications and digital delivery can support direct social services. The website needed to explain the mechanics and reported reach of such initiatives while keeping the human purpose visible.
DigitalTouch’s role in this case is the Institute’s website and portfolio framework. Development or operation of every psychological platform, chatbot and campaign listed by the Institute is not automatically attributed to DigitalTouch.
Public work and NDA-protected engagements
Consulting and communications organizations often have substantial experience they cannot name publicly. The Institute’s website explicitly separates shareable portfolio cases from work protected by confidentiality agreements.
That distinction supports credibility without encouraging vague claims. Public cases can contain detail and evidence, while non-public work remains acknowledged only at the level permitted by NDA.
The content model therefore needed to work well even when the available information differs substantially from one engagement to another. A strong structure allows detailed projects to feel complete without forcing confidential cases into artificial summaries.
A multilingual institutional presence
The Institute works with Ukrainian and international audiences. The website supports multiple languages so partners can review the organization and its cases without relying on a single local-language presentation.
Multilingual portfolio content is more demanding than translating a short landing page. Headings, figures, project descriptions and calls to action need to remain structurally consistent even when text length and terminology change.
Reusable layouts and shared navigation help preserve an equivalent experience across language versions while allowing the editorial team to publish localized content over time.
Editorial flexibility through WordPress
The site uses WordPress with PHP and MySQL as its content-management foundation. This gives the Institute control over a growing portfolio and allows new public work to be added without rebuilding the platform.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and jQuery support the responsive presentation layer. The implementation uses reusable structures for cases, languages, partners and contact information, providing consistency while accommodating different amounts and types of content.
For an organization whose work evolves with social events and partner needs, this publishing flexibility is central to the product rather than merely an administrative convenience.
DigitalTouch’s role
DigitalTouch delivered the UX/UI and technical implementation of the Institute of Cognitive Modeling’s public website. The work focused on translating a complex institutional practice into a maintainable digital portfolio.
The contribution covered:
- information architecture and public positioning;
- UX/UI for a multidisciplinary organization;
- reusable public case-study structures;
- responsive front-end implementation;
- multilingual content presentation;
- WordPress publishing workflows;
- partner, portfolio and enquiry pathways.
The case does not claim that DigitalTouch devised or delivered every campaign, research program, support platform or chatbot displayed on the Institute’s website. Those projects are presented as evidence of the Institute’s work.
The Institute online
The live website continues to present the Institute’s multilingual public portfolio, including strategic communications, information projects and psychological-support initiatives. The current collection has expanded since the original website engagement as the organization has documented new work.
The external link is provided for current organizational and portfolio context. Individual cases and results shown there belong to the Institute and their respective project partners.

The challenge
The Institute needed one public platform capable of explaining a multidisciplinary practice and documenting highly varied projects for government, international, social and institutional partners. The experience had to make complex case studies readable while respecting NDA restrictions and maintaining credibility around sensitive public-interest work.
What DigitalTouch built
DigitalTouch delivered the Institute’s public website and portfolio experience. The platform organizes areas of expertise, partner relationships, detailed public cases, multilingual content and collaboration enquiries within a reusable editorial structure. Individual initiatives shown in the portfolio belong to the Institute and are not all claimed as DigitalTouch projects.
Technical approach
WordPress, PHP and MySQL provide the publishing foundation, while HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and jQuery support responsive layouts and reusable case-study patterns. The site accommodates a growing multilingual portfolio without requiring every new public case to become a separate technical build.
